OK, I'm the Guinnea pig so please learn from my experience. The CAT 7.10
drivers still do not work with a Radeon x1950 AGP graphics card. Fails the
3D tests in DxDiag. Reverting back to 7.7 "yet again" Sheesh.

Cheers!

PS: ATI does not `yet` mention this in the release notes like they did
before.

<sigh> back to 7.7 and all is well.

Cheers!

I to have a Sapphire x1950 512 AGP but these 7.10's work fine.
Previously I used the 7.7's and did not even try the 7.8 or 7.9's

But I gave these a try and they work fine

Sorry to hear ya troubles bro.

Working ok here with my AGP X1950, the bioshock fix is incorporated into the
driver as far as I know. Bioshock does seem smoother compared to 7.7.

My Sapphire X1950 Pro just bit dust and until it gets repaired I
replaced it with my previous video card, Radeon X850. I installed
Cataylst 7.10 and everything worked except for the media centre. I
also have an ATI TV Wonder Elite card.

O formatted drive c: for a clean install on the system and that did
the same thing so I tried the Catalyst 7.7 and everything worked.

Looks like the X1950 AGP video card is not the only Radeon AGP card
that has a problem with the new Catalyst driver.

This is not just happening to me. The Omega Drivers have been updated to
work around the issue until ATI releases an official fix. see
http://www.omegadrivers.net for details

Cheers!

I have a X1950 Pro AGP and I upgraded to the 7.10 drivers just the other
day to solve a Crysis demo problem. The install went smoothly and
everything has been trouble free since.

Just FYI that it can work...
